DescriptionWelcome to our January Event! Where and when: Sunday, January 11, 12:30pm to 7:00pm at John Harris Elementary. An Important Requirement: all players must have current United States Chess Federation Membership.Visit online at uschess.org to join for $17 (one year) or pay $20 at site. Remember, only a USCF membership makes one a tournament player. Join and play as many tournaments as you want. Members have their ratings calculated and posted online. Members also receive Chess Life for Kids magazine. Entry Fee: $10 if sent in 2008, $15 thereafter.All proceeds go toward awards and tournament report fees. Registration: return the bottom portion to your chess teacher or mail to:Alex Yermolinsky, 6300 W Cheyenne Drive, Sioux Falls, SD 57106. Enter on site for $5 more, but don’t be late ‐ no registrations accepted after 12:45 PM on the day of thetournament. Rounds: 1:00pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm, 4:45pm, 6:00pm. You play only players from your section. Time Control: 30 minutes per player. Awards are given to top three individual performers and top school teams. Pairings are made using official USCF approved computer software. Ties are broken according to USCFrules. Out of top places? Don’t despair. Look for special prizes to be awarded. Venue
