Everyone is welcome! Tournament Rounds Each player will play five games. No one will be eliminated. Games will be time controlled (Each player has 40 minutes for all their moves.) Players will record their moves on a scoresheet. Rounds begin at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:30 pm.
Awards Ceremony Trophies will be awarded to the top five finishers in each of three divisions: Primary (K-3); Elementary (K-5); Middle School / High School (K-12). Team trophies go to the top three schools in each division (team scores based on top four players with a minimum of 2 players per team).
Registration Information: Entries must be postmarked by February 4 or emailed by February 6. Make checks payable to Likens Chess. Cost: $10 plus membership in the U.S. Chess Federation is required (no membership required for K-3). Students who do not pre-register may register at the tournament from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Registration at site will cost $15 (plus USCF membership if applicable). (Click here to download PDF flyer)
